On May 25, 2018, a new European Union (EU) data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), took effect. The GDPR gives individuals in the EU more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on businesses that process information of those individuals. We updated our Privacy Policy to take into account the new requirements of the GDPR.
Website Visitors
We use Google Analytics and Cookies to collect non-personally-identifying information, such as the browser type, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The reason to collect this information is to better understand how visitors use the website. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the website. miniMOsynth uses Google’s IP Anonymization support , which anonymizes your IP address at the earliest possible stage of the collection network.
We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on minimosynth.com site/blog/froum. We only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction that requires it. For example, we ask visitors who leave a comment at minimosynth.com to provide a name and email address; in order to purchase goods on the site, we require personal information such as name, billing address, phone number and email address. In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with the website.
We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below; visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
The website’s shop is encrypted over secure HTTPS with an SSL certificate, and all payment information is handled securely by our payment processor (PayPal).
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
How long do we retain your data for?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For registered users, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile, along with their order history. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We keep a record of the shop’s transactions for six years for administrative purposes.
We delete records of incomplete, cancelled, or failed orders weekly.
What rights do you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us (see contact). You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Why/when will we contact you?
- If you were in the process of buying goods and left mid-order, we will send you one emailĀ as a reminder within three hours;
- If you have bought any goods, we’ll contact you in case there are any issues with your order, or to clarify any specifics;
- If you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you an email every once in a while with news and new releases;
